We’ve mentioned several times the Neofonie WePad slate type tablet, with the first time being critical to the name and design that resembles too much to the iPad. It seems that Neofonie realized the name resembles too much to the tablet that started it all and decided to change the name into WeTab, just so that any complaint from Apple to be dismissed from start.

If you ask me, this is something they should have done a long time ago, before their tablet got that much press attention, but hey, I’m not the marketing dude from Neofonie.

Apple’s way of protecting its image, product names and products in general should make any manufacturer eager to copy them a little worried about the consequences of such a move. I guess some people never learn.
