Viliv is not a name you hear often when you talk about mobile devices but they intend to make a strong appearance from now on as they’ve launched at CES a new range of products from which the most interesting is the S10 Blade convertible tablet with ‘classic’ netbook hardware.

We say classic configuration because  we have an Atom Z CPU (1.3 GHz), a swivel 10 inch screen (with 720p resolution), 1 GB RAM, 32 to 128 GB SSD storage (depending on configuration), Windows 7 OS and an estimated 10 hours batter life (7 hours on movie mode). On connectivity options side we have HSPA/TD-SCDMA/EVDO/WiMAX options so plenty yo choose from. Not word on availability yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Update:We have a video Hands on with the Viliv S10 Blade which shows a very thin and light (1.2 kg) convertible tablet. There aren’t too many ports to play with: 2 USB 2.0, one USB transfer port (like mini USB jack but no info on what it does), an SD card slot, analog video out (with a proprietary dongle) and a stereo headphones jack.

    The interesting Viliv S10 Blade

Battery life should be exceptional (the manufacturer claims up tot 10 hours) thanks to the 48 watt hours battery that takes most of the bottom of Viliv’s S10 case. Viliv S10 is running Windows 7 and has a special designed interface (same present on the Viliv S7) you can launch manually which gets you access to the most important functions of the OS.
