Tegra chipsets are really starting to equip a lot of touch tablets, gaining grown in front of the Windows 7 and Atom combination. It’s really no wonder as Tegra 2 chipset is known for its low power consumption and capable multimedia playback including Full HD video. VTablet 101 is the latest slate type tablet to be announced by Viewsonc in Beijing but I’m sure it will soon hit US as Viewsonic is pretty active on this market.

VTablet 101 is a 8.9 inch slate with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution screen (LVDS technology) and has a front facing camera, 4 GB of internal storage, 3D Graphics thanks to the Tegra T20 and all connectivity goodies: WiFi, Bluetooth and external 3G modem. The launching price announced for China is about 440$ which is a little steep (on par with what’s being speculated about the ASUS EEE Pad), but I bet once other manufacturers launch products with Tegra chipsets the price be set to a lower value.
