Viewsonic might not be the most interesting IT manufacturer of them all, but that doesn’t mean they can’t surprise us from time to time, like now, when they’re about to present at IFA Berlin two new touch tablets (not the VTablet announced a while ago), one a 7 inch model and the other a 10 inch one. That’s not surprising at all, right? Well, the 10 inch one will feature dual boot OS, one Android and the other an unknown Windows variant, a speculated Windows Embedded Compact 7.

We know quite a few details about the 7 inch model (and none about the 10 inch dual boot-er) that will have assisted GPS, Bluetooth, an accelerometer sensor, USB and a microSD card slot and access to a dedicated application store (not the Google Marketplace unfortunately). The OS of choice is Android 2.2 for the Viewsonic 7 inch tablet. Pricing should be in the attractive to a little bit expensive range as suggested UK prices are expected to fall between 300 to 400 British pounds (500 to 650 dollars range).

That’s pretty much what we know now, but expect details when IFA debuts, beginning September.
