When you think about touch tablets I bet you’re not thinking about medical devices. Well, Toshiba does, as they’ve officially announced the Viamo medical tablet, a device that has little in common with normal convertible tablets as it doesn’t feature a keyboard, but buttons for ultrasounds sonograms which are supposed to offer the same image quality as premium carts found in hospitals.

Toshiba Viamo was recently validated by FDA and is headed to US hospitals as we speak. Price is not something we’re concerned now as it’s not a product meant for general use, but I bet it’s ‘restrictive’ to many of us. Just hope is worth the money.
