Toshiba is one of the big IT names that hasn’t come up with a tablet of their own (besides the Libretto W100, a dual screen concept for enthusiasts), but has announced plans to get back in the race till the end of the year with Toshiba SmartPad, that now has leaked in a few press photos that further detail what the Japanese manufacturer was able to cram into the 10 inch tablet.

To start with the specs let’s take a look at the main attractions: the 10 inch display powered by a Tegra 2 chipset running Android OS. The standard Android buttons are placed on the right side of the display for convenient reach. On the middle top part of the screen bezel there’s the front facing webcam. On the bottom we have two stereo speakers. As of connectors, Toshiba SmartPad features HDMI, USB, mini USB, card reader and a 3.5mm jack.

We speculate that Toshiba will present officially the SmartPad during IFA Berlin in a few days, when maybe we’ll hear word of pricing and availability, together with full specs.
