It’s not the first time we talk about Toshiba’s intentions to launch a touch tablet this year, but it’s the first time we know a little bit more like the fact it’s coming this month, with a big surprise: it’s a dual screen 7 inch tablet running Windows on a Tegra chipset.
That’s more than we could hope: a big manufacturer, known for its innovation, producing a dual screen tablet. That’s something we must see for ourselves before we get to conclusions. There are things to consider like pricing (two screens are more expensive), battery life (two screen consume more) and how the interface will work, as I don’t see a plain vanilla Windows 7 handling with ease two displays.
Nonetheless, we have to wait for Toshiba to make the official announcement, as all this info was not confirmed yet by the Japanese manufacturer.
