Texas Instruments is one of the worlds biggest hardware developer and manufacturer. They’re responsible for a lot of the chips found in the gadgets we’re taking with us on the road. They’re also the ones responsible for the OMAP CPU line, which features very power efficient chips with a lot of functions build in. Their latest achievement is the OMAP4 CPU, found inside the Texas Instruments Blaze tablet, a 10 inch slate for developers. It will be available for sale sometime in August, but it’s not for regular folks, but for those who want to develop software for the new platform.

    Let’s see what the TI Blaze is all about by taking a short look at the specs:

    • 1GHz OMPA4430 chip
    • 1GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board flash memory

    • memory card slot, SIM card slot,  headset jack and miniPCIe slot for a 3G/LTE modem
