You know Synaptics, the one that make almost every trackpad found in laptops today. Well, they’re stepping up in the touch tablet arena, by announcing the ClearPad 7200 series multi touch screens, with 10 inch diagonal and some performance features that makes them ideal for Windows 7 and Android slates.

Those performance figures are 10 fingers simultaneous multi touch, low latency (between the touch gesture and the moment it is registered and sent for processing), plus two things I don’t really understand: high report rate and precise finger disambiguation. The ClearPad 7200 is compatible with classic multi touch gestures like scrolling, pinch-zoom and chiral-rotate.

Synaptics didn’t say exactly when new devices will receive the ClearPad 7200 10 inch screens, but they hope it’s sometime before end of the year.
