Even if I don’t particularly like Apple I must admit they are one of those brands that drive the market, not follow others. Analysts and press are now watching to see how the iPad will do in terms of sales volume and customer feedback. But those are not the only ones watching Apple closely. The competition does that too, Sony being one of the big names interested in the slate market tablet and plans to bring their own model if they see demand for Apple’s iPad.

    It’s interesting to note that Sony is capable of integrating their tablet with music services, on demand movies, games and electronic books. They got the same network of features like Apple, they’re good at engineering and are well perceived by consumers. Sony is also capable of integrating a possible slate tablet with their lineup of HDTVs and home theater systems. I just hope their iSony won’t be so expensive as their other premium products, or explode in my face thanks to battery problems.
