I know the title might seem confusing but how else could you describe a tablet that can’t be moved around because the lack of an internal battery? That’s what Sony’s Dash Internet Viewer is, a desktop tablet using the same OS as the Chumby One but with a more up to date mature look and updated hardware.
As the name says, the Dash Internet Viewer can be used as a secondary display for viewing and accessing your favorite web apps or you can put it near your sofa to check out some vital info while doing something completely different. Now, getting to specs there isn’t much to say except that Sony Dash Internet Viewer has a 7 inch touch screen, WiFi connection and a speedy processor to support flash video streaming from services like Youtube.

Dash Internet Viewer is meant to stand on your desktop
What really makes Dash Internet Viewer special is the 199$ price, which will make it one of the cheapest available tablets (or desktop tablet) available on market. If you think it’s useless you’re wrong, because Sony made sure that by using the Chumby OS you have access to over 1000 applications already developed. If you’re interested Sony will start shipping Dash Internet Viewer in April. [source]
