After so much speculation on the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet it’s time to see some official action, in this case a very very short teaser video that tells us a little bit more of this enigmatic tablet. First, it’s a 7 inch slate, just the right size if you ask me, strategically place between the Dell Streak (5 inch) and Apple iPad (9.7 inch) and features the Android 2.2 OS for starters. Maybe we’ll see upgrades to 3.0 Gingerbread or what else will come up from the Google pipeline.

The 7 inch screen features a welcomed 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and is capacitive multitouch type, the AMOLED variety. From the teaser we also find out that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will bring video calling, Swype virtual keyboard, HD movie playback, Flash support, 3.2 megapixels camera, GPS navigation, 3G data modem, WiFi, Bluetooth, an e-reader and even augmented reality (that I want to see). Take a look below at the teaser:

Another info, this time unofficial, due to a leak, shows up that Samsung uses a PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor to speed up things and allow for the HD Video playback. Unfortunately, just like many Samsung devices this one features a 30 pin proprietary connector for charging and sync. Also it seems that the real product code of Samsung Galaxy Tab is GT-P1000. More info will be available in September when Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Tab at IFA Berlin 2010.
