What’s cooking doc, says the Consumer? Samsung says: Galaxy Tab, a sexy slate tablet (sexy in the sense that it copies the iPad) with a custom TouchWiz UI interface on top of Android. It’s like a Galaxy S i9000, but enlarged to 7 inches, just like the iPad is an oversized iPad. Of course we knew Samsung was working on a tablet, we knew it would be called S-Pad, but apparently we didn’t knew everything.

    Not that we know now, but it seems the screen will be the hottest piece of the puzzle, some speculating AMOLED, some saying something about ‘high resolution’. I say AMOLED is out of question because of the price penalty it involves.

    I don’t know what to believe but the picture below seems pretty believable to me, despite the obvious iPad resemblance. Also voices say this might not be just a data-tablet, but also a voice one, so expect a Bluetooth headset to be delivered with Samsung Galaxy Tab. Apps will be download-able via a Samsung AppStore (grrrr), but this is not 100% certain yet. Don’t ask about price and availability. Please, don’t.
