Finding a computer for your kids can be a difficult task. If you think of a convertible tablet PC things are even more difficult, but there are products like the Rilakkuma SX specially targeted at your kids. The only problem is that you might want to book a flight to Japan to get one and prepare around 1000$ cash for it.
It sounds much (actually it is) but if your kid’s happiness is what you’re seeking you can’t go wrong with the Rilakkuma SX convertible touch tablet. You know it’s for kids the first time you lay your eyes on it, starting with the color casing and teddy-bear stickers on the back and ending with a special set of wallpapers build into the Windows 7 Home Premium OS that comes with the device.
Even if you pay almost 1000$ (995 to be exact) you don’t get the latest and the greatest: Atom Z520 CPU at 1.33 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB Hard disk drive, Bluetooth, WiFi, DVD Writer (that’s a first I must admit) and an 8.9 inch screen with a nice resolution (1280 x 768 pixels). Too bad for the slow CPU that will make things run very slow. I know as I’ve tested the ASUS T101MT convertible netbook tablet which went like a snail with a ‘powerful’ 1.66 Pinetrail Atom CPU. But your kids aren’t in a hurry, right?
