This shows the power of Apple, the power they have over customers, over the industry and over other manufacturers and suppliers. After the rumor about Apple developing a touch tablet device everybody is doing it or at least working on it. Nvidia’s CEO was spotted a few months ago with a device that looks a lot like a touch tablet with 3G data capabilities and what’s interesting, it looks like the Apple Tablet (maybe called iPad) we’ve seen in many occasions floating around the web in mockup form.
It’s rumored again that the Apple Tablet will be developed by Nvidia (they made the last chipsests found inside Macs now) and it will use the Tegra platform, will be smaller than a PMP, so easier to carry arround and will offer a few hours of use, which is great. What’s not good is that all we wrote above is speculation, no official info being released at this point in time, but we hope we’ll hear something trusty soon.

That looks like a tablet to us
UPDATE: It seems that the prototype was an ODM model, named ICD and based indeed on the Tegra platform, running Windows CE on a rezistive screen, but Android and capacitive screens are not out of the question. The goal is to launch this tablet in March 2010.
