If Apple stands for innovation then Lenovo is the word for conservative, as their ThinkPad lineup looks and feels the same for many years now. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as they already have their dedicated group of professional users that like things just the way they are, with no bling or glossy add-ons.

It’s understanding that Lenovo’s vision of a touch tablet is nothing more than a traditional convertible Tablet PC, so the latest Thinkpad X201T Tablet did nothing else than reinforce this idea. But now comes the interesting part: Lenovo didn’t just built on an old recipe just to conserve their image, as they’ve researched the market before with plastic slate tablets prototypes and found out people want a physical keyboard. Don’t think they’ve tested on old people as they did try to get to as many user categories as possible, including students. All of the people participating in the survey mentioned the need for the best keyboard around, the Thinkpad one. That’s a legacy for Lenovo that won’t disappear anytime soon for some fancy touchscreen.
