The Apple frenzy, as I can’t call it other way, hit NEC also, who is now reportedly working on a touch tablet personal/mobile PC device, with the capabilities of a regular computer, and by regular I suppose they mean Office PC, not something too sophisticated. There aren’t a lot of know specs for this device, but it seems it will be using a 7-8 inch screen and will feature 3 main buttons.

No word yet on Operating System, but NEC hopes their device will boot up quicker than the competition, so maybe an SSD drive is on the way. NEC will force this product on market first in Japan, this autumn, hoping to regain the market share it lost in front of Fujitsu.
