We already know that MSI has two tablets in works, both called WindPad, one with Android and the other with Windows 7. It’s clear that MSI wants to offer customers a choice here, and is also careful with details like performance, as it seems the Windows 7 version, WindPad 100 will be delayed till 2011, when Intel will presumably launch the next generation Atom platform called Oak Trail. Apparently MSI is not happy with current performance under Windows 7 and power consumption of current Atom chips, so it does everything possible to ensure customers will get something that works well, not hangs on the smallest tasks.

On a better note, the WindPad 110, powered by Android and the dual core Tegra 250 chipset, will still launch this year. Currently MSI is working with Google to bring Marketplace support to WindPad.
