Many were disappointed by Apple as iPad didn’t turned out to be what was expected, even if voices rumored on Internet way before official launch that it will be just a huge iPod. Some are still complaining, but designer Patrycjusz Brzezinski got to work and made a rendering, complete with specs of what he believes would make the perfect iPad.

His vision is called MacView and is a gadget a little too advanced for today’s hardware but it’s interesting to see nonetheless what’s all about:

    • slim body: only 7 mm on its thickest point. Case is made from a carbon shell
    • 1152 x 720 pixels resolution LED display, but not diagonal mentioned (I’m lazy to calculate what 15 x 24 centimeters means in diagonal)
    • slide panel that acts as a QWERTY keyboard
    • 4 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD drive (that’s going to be expensive, even a few years from now)
    • Mac OS X operating system
    • no word on battery and CPU, but you can fill in the blanks with ease

Of course Apple won’t build such a device anytime soon, but I would definitely prefer this instead of the iPad that’s no where near my dream mobile device.
