LG was one of the names missing from the touch tablet race but it seems they were boiling at low power their own version of a slate touch tablet, the LG UX10, present at the Computex 2010 booth.

As expected, LG didn’t reinvent the wheel and opted for a ‘classic’ combination: Atom CPU + Windows 7 OS on a 10 inch screen.

Design is one strong point of LG and it shows with the UX10 slate tablet, featuring an edge-to-edge glass and smooth back finished in silver (not aluminum by the way).

There isn’t much to say about LG UX10 so let’s get to specs and see what we’ve got here:

    • Intel Atom Z530 CPU
    • Windows 7 Home Premium OS
    • 1 GB DDR2 memory
    • 120 GB Hard drive (not SSD most likely)
    • 10.1 inch LED screen (resolution is not confirmed but I bet it’s 1024 x 600 pixels)
    • 1.3 megapixels webcam
    • 7500 mAh battery
    • 850 grams
    • micro HDMI (that’s a first), WiFi b/g, LAN 10/100Mbps

LG didn’t comment on availability and pricing, but they say it will come up in the future (that’s helpful guys…). Engadget managed to get their hands on one and posted the following video hands on with LG UX10:
