I can’t stop thinking about Le Big Mac from Pulp Fiction since I heard about Lenovo’s plans to launch an Android tablet for the Chinese market (at first, we hope) that’s called LePad, in line with their LeProductName naming scheme. If you take a look at the picture below you’ll see that LePad is a ressurrection of the IdeaPad U1 Hybrid Skylight concept showcased at CES 2010, but without the keyboard dock that adds also laptop internals, hence the hybrid part of the name.
The idea of launching an Android tablet till the end of the year in China come to Lenovo after seeing Apple not being concerned with that hug Chinese market, so I expect LePad to be pretty cheap, priced for the masses. Also I hope to see the slate launched also in other countries. There were no mentions on specs but from the picture below it seems to be at least a 11.6 – 12 inch tablet.

LePad – iPad
Lepad got an external keyboard originally , which iPad did not. What if it combined with windows 7? Android can not show the advantages of lepad ’cause the external keyboard is not just a keyboard but a hard disk. Maybe it will be more expensive with win7, but who cares, it’s made in China, the products are cheap all the time.
