Korea is one of the most advanced countries when it comes to early adoption of high tech trends. It’s the place where camera phones were a hit before they appeared in European and US markets. One of the biggest mobile operators there, KT, has announced they’re gonna launch a 7 inch Android tablet, the KT Identity TAB, to promote their 4G WiBro data program.

The tablet itself looks a little bit like the Samsung Galaxy TAB in both design and specs: 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 8 GB internal memory, gyro-sensor, 3MP camera and SD card reader plus adds goodies like a DVB-T Tuner and optional WiBro 4G card. I’m not sure which version of Android this one will be running, but probably is 2.1 or 2.2.

The cost is another interesting part of the story: 252 $ unsubsidized and free for a 2 year contract for the 4G WiBro service. Hope this KT Identity TAB will somehow manage to show up in US, even if not under the KT brand.

KT Identity Tab looks nice, doesn't feel cheap
