The source for 2012 iPad, Android and tablet PC news, reviews and accessories guides
More and more skeptics are saying tablets don’t have a place between netbooks and power laptops, they’re too expensive and don’t have a dedicated role, but I bet you would get one if it was cheap enough. And where’s the best place to look when seeking for a cheap product than China. The iWonder (see the resemblance with Apple’s naming scheme) is a dirt cheap slate type tablet developed by Foxconn and produced in China. Retail price will be something around 100$ and will include an 800 x480 pixels touchscreen and Android OS, all inside a plastic case.
iWonder was presented at Marvell’s booth at World Mobile Congress 2010 so expect a Marvel CPU and chipset inside, but as Snapdragon showed us there’s plenty of power for those kind of devices. I’ll let you know when I know more.
