After a lot of rumors and official/semiofficial and cancellation news, the HP Slate seems to live on and even made an appearance on a HP webpage, where is listed as Slate 500. It’s surprising for HP to have made a mistake and publish those pages before official launch, but it seems that HP Slate 500 is alive and kicking, with the specs we were suggested a while ago: 1.6 GHz Atom CPU, 8.9 inch screen and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

What we didn’t see coming are the two video cameras (front and back, not 3D) for video calling and taking pictures. Also the HP Slate 500 can recognize pen and finger input (just like HP PalmPad), so it will please every type of user on this matter. What it was not told at this time is the price and, of course, availability, but I bet more info will come down the road in a few days time.
