After days and days of talking about HP Slate we finally have something official from HP, and it’s not what you think as HP Personal Systems Group VP Todd Bradley said during a conference that HP sees the Slate as a tablet for the Enterprise market, which it will encounter it sometime this Autumn. WebOS, the operating system inherited from Palm will be used by HP to build consumer tablets. At least that’s the plan for now. So it seems that the other Business tablet, Cisco Cius, has now a serious competitor from HP, not that Cisco isn’t very well prepared when it comes to the business environment.

So here you have it folks, we’re back to square one on HP, we don’t know anything officially yet about what consumer tablet will look like in HP’s vision. Hope they’re doing something really secret, really nice, or the iPad will eat it alive.
