We all know HP didn’t come up after all this time with a true plan for tablets (HP Slate with Windows 7 doesn’t count as it was put off) and the finally ended up buying Palm. Now it seems that HP was working on a version powered by Android, which was supposed to be available in stores sometimes this year in Q4, just in time for the winter shopping season. Unfortunately, AllThingsDigital is reporting that this ain’t gonna happen either, as HP delayed its plans again.

I don’t know you, but I strongly believe something is wrong there at HP, as they lack focus and a sense of direction on what they should be doing. Maybe tablets are not their main focus right now but they should put a lot more work into this as touch tablets could be the next big thing in personal computing, which HP knows a thing or two about. Probably we’ll see a HP tablet prototype just in time for CES 2011, but what is important to me is the moment when we would be able to actually buy it, because that’s all that matters right now.
