We’ve told you about Michael Arrington’s Crunchpad, the 12 inch touch tablet that was meant as an easy and convenient way to surf the web. It was in works for over one year and past weeks showed great improvement.

Unfortunately things were not meant to be for the Crunchpad, as a lot of problems started to arise lately with Arrington’s associate company, Fusion Garage. Things escalated rapidly when Arrington received an email stating that the hardware will be sold separately by Fusion Garage, under another name, as Crunchpad was trademarked by Arrington. Of course this is illegal and Arrington will press charges, but the fact is that almost for sure we won’t see the Crunchpad anytime soon, as the two parties seem not to be able to communicate one with another, never so much as getting to a common grownd.

    RIP Crunchpad

    RIP Crunchpad

That’s sad for everyone that supported Crunchpad and we hope things will work out for themselves and we’ll get our toy to play with while watching TV, but only time will tell if this will happen or not. [source]
