I’m glad to see that Fujitsu’s laptop division is not dead, as they just announced the Lifebook T900 convertible tablet. Unfortunately this is the best example of why tablet PCs didn’t had a chance a few years ago: it’s huge, heavy and expensive. It’s also powerful, especially considering the 13.3 inch footprint, but the 1.5 inch thickness and 4.78 lbs weight might get me off buying it, if the 1889$ starting price didn’t do that in the first place.
If you can get past those problems you’ll get a Core i5 or i7 CPU (both dual core versions), a standard 2 GB of memory (why not 4 I beg to ask), and a puny 160 GB hard drive, not SSD. The touch screen fully supports Windows 7 and can be configured with a dual digitizer option that adds multi-touch, plus Fujitsu advertises 160 degrees horizontal and vertical viewing angles, but this remains to be proven in practice.

Fujitsu Lifebook T900: heavy on performance and weight
Another thing you can choose for the Fujitsu Lifebook T900 is what goes into the modular bay: optical drive, additional battery of another hard drive. Expect it to ship pretty soon so a review might come up here soon. More info about the Lifebook T900 can be found on Fujitsu’s website.
