Nvidia announced the Tegra 2 platform quite a while ago and it seems that the first working prototypes are on display already at trade shows like GDC 2010, where the first video demo of the Tegra 2 was filmed showing some impressive performance for a mobile device. You won’t be able to play the latest games but expect arcades, quests, flash games and HD video playback to be a breeze for the Tegra 2 chipset, a combination of an ARM CPU and a GeForce based graphics core.
We already know about the legendary autonomy figures touted by Nvidia with its Tegra platform and now it’s nice to finally be able to see what this platform is capable of in terms of actual real life performance. The video below shows what I’m talking about on a prototype running Android OS.
