The source for 2012 iPad, Android and tablet PC news, reviews and accessories guides
Remember the ExoPC slate we’ve presented quite a while ago and the interview we’ve conducted with the company’s CTO, Jean-Baptiste Martinoli? It seems that the tablet is on track for September 7th launch and on features there’s a plus consisting on Full HD video playback thanks to the Broadcom BCM70012 or Crystal HD chip which will be included in all models.
The countries where ExoPC will be offered at first are US, Canada (the company is from here) and France. After that I suspect new markets will open once sales numbers pick up in volume. Pricing was not disclosed at this time and remains one of the mysteries we would like to find out sooner.

Atom CPUs were almost always associated with low cost, low power consumption and low performance. Casual users like the first...
Really nice, but i cannot seem to find alot of specs of the hardware just yet. i seriously doubt it will show a nice 1080p image, its ofcourse possible but i highly doubt it. If so i’d really like to read some more stuff about thisone. The more pixels on them the more happy i get!
Regards,
Jeff
Jeff, the CPU is not the one decoding the 1080p video. ExoPC uses a special HD decoder chip, which is also used by some netbooks, that’s where the 1080p capability comes from.
