If you think about IT companies from France, the only ones coming to my mind are Lacie and Alcatel, but there are a handful of companies out there trying to get in front. One of them is eviGruoup, which recently announced they’re working on a touch tablet based on a netbook configuration with Windows 7 OS.
The main specifications include a 10.2 inch 1024 x 600 pixels resistive screen (not so interesting, would have preferred capacitive), WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G (that’s very good), an 1.6 GHz Atom CPU helped by 1 GB RAM and a 160 GB internal hard drive to store your media and programs. What eviGroup put from themselves on the Pad is a special designed Seline UI, which promises to help the touch interaction from users.
Price is so so, a little bit higher that of a netbook: 745$, but if a touch tablet is what you need then you might consider the eviGroup Pad.
