Even if tablets are still being announced, but fail to show up in store (see the 10 inch tablet top to understand), that doesn’t mean that some manufacturers are so slow in delivering to their promise. I say that because eLocity A7, a 7 inch tablet running Android 2.2 Froyo, just surfaced for preorder on Amazon.com. The price, 370$, does seem a little too much for a 7 inch slate tablet from an unknown manufacturer, but it’s OK considering that you’re getting the Tegra 2 platform, one known for its extraordinary combination of multimedia capabilities and power consumption.
Anyway, let’s take a look at the specs of eLocity A7:
- 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 T-20 chipset
- 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive touchscreen display
- Google Android 2.2
- 4GB internal storage
- 802.11b/g WiFi
- Bluetooth
- 1080p HDMI output
- USB 2.0 port
- 1.3MP camera
- 8.2″ x 4.8″ x 0.5″ case
- 1.02 pound weight
As you can see, the eLocity A7 is a pretty nice tablet to have, but there’s one question we are eager to know the answer to: will it have Google Android Marketplace integration? If the answer is yes, there’s nothing stopping me from getting one.
