I’m sure you don’t remember, but in early 2010 we’ve talked briefly about the Boogie board, a simple electronic tablet for taking notes and nothing more. Time passed and the product went on sale for less than 40 bucks and even appeared re-branded as e-Note, but unfortunately with the same major problem: you can only take notes, not save or download them. Then why would I get one? That’s a good question, and the only answer that comes to my mind is the fact it’s very cheap and can be used to train your drawing skills and write down a quick shopping list. Just be careful not to touch the screen erase button accidentally.
You might wonder why we’re talking about the e-Note/Boogie Board since it’s not a tablet, per se. Well, because it lasts over 50.000 pages (the battery should last charged around 5 years), it’s light at 4ounces and there are plans for a model with included storage and a way to download your notes. Also it comes with a metallic stylus and a cleaning cloth (for dust, not for screen erasing, of course) and is pressure sensitive, so you impress your friends with your painting skills. Until the more advanced version comes to market you can practice on this one, if you like. I bet your kids will love it!
