There are already a few months since we’ve heard about Dell’s Mini 5 tablet, codenamed Streak, a 5 inch Android MID that’s marketed as a mini touch tablet. Specs were leaked (or released, if you may) to general public one by one, such as the 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, the 1500 mAh battery that’s supposed to last a day long, the 1 GHz snapdragon CPU, the over-the-air updates for further Android versions and customized gadgets developed by Dell to ship with the device, like the Facebook app which, by the way, resembles in looks and functionality the one found on the Nokia N900 Maemo.

Slashgear has a short video that showcases the Dell Mini 5 tablet at work, on something that looks much like a final product. From what I gather the presenter says Mini 5 Streak will include a 3G wireless modem that will support all major US GSM bands, but he ‘forgets’ to mention the final cost of the device. Oh, well, we’ll have to wait a little for that, as Dell is now working closely with developers to persuade them into building special apps that take advantage of the Mini 5 hardware.
