When you think about rugged laptop and touch tablet you think I bet about the Panasonic Toughbook, but they’re not the only one producing those limited edition models, limited because of demand, of course. Dell is currently in works with the Latitude XT2 XFR, their first rugged touch tablet.

Let’s see what we know about the Dell Latitude XT2. Specs were not disclosed by Dell but we are expecting a 10 to 12 inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, an Intel ULV microprocessor for low heat dissipation and no active cooling, a rugged hard drive or an SSD model, security features like TPM 1.2, Finger Printer reader, Dell ControlVault, Dell ControlPoint Security Manager and 3G card supporting 850/1900 CDMA/EVDO/GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA WWAN wireless networks.

There’s no info about price and availability, but expect it to be ‘limited’ for people with shallow pockets.
