The most spoken off tablet at the end of this year, the ASUS Transformer Prime, is about to be released to retail channels, with December 19th being the date it will officially start shipping to those who’ve pre-ordered it.

Unlike the previous generation ASUS EEE Pad Transformer, the first quad-core tablet is set to launch with no additional delays and ASUS has just confirmed the don’t expect any problems, so everything is on track for the planned release date.

Why is this info worth mentioning here? Because most of you have expressed great interest in the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer Prime and I’ve read about some problems with Amazon cancelling (some) pre-orders of the tablet and some reviewers have experience WiFi connectivity issues. I’m glad to see that ASUS takes things serious and managed to release an official statement confirming everything is fine with their Tegra 3 tablet.

It would be a pity for ASUS to miss the Christmas sales period. Anyway, keep your credit card close on December 19th if you’re planning on getting the new Transformer :)
