I’m usually confused by Asus, one of the most prolific manufacturers when it comes to releasing new products at short intervals but in the case of tablet PCs they are quite slow as we only have word about T91MT (9 inch convertible netbook tablet) and the T101mt, a 10.1 inch model with upgraded netbook hardware: Pinetail Atom N450 CPU. The rest of the specs remain pretty mainstream: 1 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter. There will also be a more high spec model with 2 GB RAM, a 320 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium which will bring multi touch support for the resistive LED backlit LCD panel with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

As with any tablets a loss in battery life is expected and the ASUS EEE PC T101mt is no different with an advertised 6.5 hours battery life from the 35 Wh polymer battery. Battery life might get even lower depending on your usage patterns, including Bluetooth and WiFi status. ASUS didn’t say anything about availability but I expect the T101mt to ship pretty soon as it was presented already at CES 2010.

They probably wont have prices by the end of this year knowing the companies.
