We’ve already talked here about EEE PC T101MT convertible netbook tablet, but nothing was official enough like the presentation page that had shown up on the Asus website a few days ago. As expected, the T101MT is a 10.1 inch model, a little bit bigger than the EEE PC T91MT, the 8.9 inch version.

Asus EEE PC T101MT is not only a grown up version, size wise, but also an updated model with Windows 7 Home Premium OS and Intel Atom N450 Pinetail CPU running at 1.66 GHz, that makes for a pretty fast and power efficient netbook.

Now back to other specs, the screen is resistive so you’ll have to press harder than on a capacitive screen, but there’s also multi touch involved, so overall the user experience should be pretty OK. There will be two versions of the EEE PC T101MT, one with Windows 7 Home Premium, 320 GB hard drive and 2 GB RAM and one lower end with Windows 7 Starter, 160 GB hard drive and 1 GB RAM. Both versions are accompanied by 500 GB online storage on Asus cloud computing service.

There will be two color versions for Asus EEE PC T101MT: black (with a silver stripe) and white (just like Apple’s MacBook). As of battery life Asus says the 6 cell 35 WHr slim LiPolymer battery will last you up to 6.5 hours. It seem low compared with other Asus Pinetail netbooks powered by 6 cell batteries, but we’ll have to wait for the final product review to really see what’s going on here.

From connectivity point of view we have the usual WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a not so common card reader that supports the new SDXC standard for high capacity flash cards (up to 2 TB). There is no word yet on availability and price but expect to hear from Asus soon. Till then take a look at the user interface of Asus EEE PC T101MT.
