If you’re not convinced by JooJoo (former Crunchpad) as a touch tablet because it’s not really a fully capable computer, plus it costs too much for the lack of features there’s always the option to buy a PC tablet from Archos, like the Archos 9 PC Tablet (which we’ve presented here) which gives you a normal computer (without the keyboard) for just 550$.

Don’t expect too much from it as in it’s core we have  an Intel Atom CPU running at 1.1 GHz, but I guess this is enough for basic browsing, office reading (you won’t do much writing on the virtual keyboard). The good news is that the Archos 9 PC Tablet comes preloaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition. Autonomy is good, around 3 hours with WiFi on and there’s plenty of space on the 60 GB hard drive to store some documents and media files.

All in all I believe the asking price of 550 $ is pretty OK for a new type of gadget. I’ll be updating this post once reviews hit the web. For now you’ll have to settle with the following unboxing video. [source]
