We’ve told you about the Archos 7 Home tablet and the company’s vision of offering a cheap Android Tablet for media consumption and Internet browsing in past. We’re talking about the 180-200$ mark here, a much more affordable price point for consumers who see tablets as a complementary device for home use, not as a replacement for anything (as Apple hopes those gadgets will become).

We’re happy to announce that the Archos 7 Home Tablet has reached FCC, the final step before shipping to consumers. I really hope they maintain the user friendly pricing as there’s a place for a tablet cheaper than a netbook. This is something everyone agrees, I hope. From what has leaked about the Archos 7 Home tablet it will have a bigger screen than the Archos 5 (7 inch in for sure), a slower CPU (600 MHz vs 800MHz) and of course the lower starting price point.
