Archos is just one of those manufacturers that want to innovate and always stick to their principles. One of the results is the Archos 5 Internet Tablet running Android OS. The screen is bigger than an Android Phone so you’ll be able to do some real browsing and get things done (entertainment that is for this case, and a few touches of office work).
But let’s see what powers the Archos 5 Android Internet tablet:

The nice looking Archos 5
Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet can be used to watch videos in the following formats: MPEG-4 HD (up to 720p), MPEG-48 (ASP@L5 AVI, up to DVD resolution), H.264 HD (up to 720p), WMV (MP@ML, up to DVD resolution) including WMV protected files, MKV (up to 720p, 2500kbps, 23fps), M-JPEG (Motion JPEG Video) in QVGA resolution or hear music tunes in Stereo MP3 decoding @ 30-320 Kbits/s CBR & VBR, WMA, Protected WMA, WAV (PCM/ADPCM), AAC9(except protected content), AAC+ stereo audio files, Ogg Vorbis up to 320kbs @44hz, Flac up to 1000kbs @44hz.

Two ways you could use the Archos 5
Other activities include Internet browsing with email access and access to Web TV and Radio, GPS navigation. If the 4.8 inch screen is not enough for you, there’s always the option of outputting the image to a big screen TV and even record TV shows. Some of this functionality is only accessible through the use of non included accessories like the HDMI minidock or DVR station that acts as an intermediate between your Archos 5 and the other gadgets.
Price is not too steep considering what you’re getting: 379.99$ for the 32 GB version, 389.95$ for the 160GB version and 485.99$ for the 500 GB version. It might seem much but with the price of a Nokia N900 Internet Tablet you can buy a smartphone and an Archos 5, both can be paired together and used for a better multimedia/Internet experience.
this one is cool that Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet..
Its only 259 on newegg if you have coupon code from their emails, but wow! 128mb of ram??? That is a joke. My phone has 756mb which seems to be a good amount. 256 on another phone I had caused it to be really slow so I cannot imagine what 128 is like. I also had another A ndroid phone with 512 mb of ram and only a 600 mhz proc, it worked way better than expected. They need at least 512 badly.
