I’ve told you yesterday that someone, Gawker, put a ransom for the people who will get them proof of existence of the Apple iSlate. The ransom increased with a better proof: pictures, video or the actual tablet. It seems that Apple didn’t ignore this threat to their internal secrecy and acted with a cease and desist letter who got at Gawker the same day.

Now, what were they thinking, and by they I mean Apple? This is the way they’re practically acknowledged the existence of something they don’t want shown to the general public before it’s official. I get it that it’s a measure of protecting their secrets but it’s already too late. People know they’re building something and the competition already launched products that will sell on the market in a few weeks, so the harm was done a long time ago.

If I were Steve Jobs I would bring the tablet myself and get me the 100.000$ reward. Wouldn’t you?
