As you know already, the iPad doesn’t support Flash at all. This means that your favorite sites might not work completely if they have Flash elements. Adobe is in the ropes on this one, and even filed an anti-thrust law suit against Apple, allegedly for anti-competitive practices, but that’s something we’re not going to talk about in this post. This news flash is about Adobe demoing Air and Flash running flawlessly on a few Google Android tablets prototypes at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.

There are a few videos below showing a beta version of the digital Wired magazine running without interruptions, which means Adobe did something to optimize their Flash and Air products for mobile devices. There was no word of power consumptions, another big problem if you ask me of those two technologies, something you often see on your laptop too: once you fire up a Flash website the battery drains quicker. Maybe there’s a place for Flash in the future of the web, but numbers show that the H264 codec already dominates the web.
