We’re written here about Acer’s plans to release a touch tablet sometime in 2010 but now that Apple launched the iPad, we have info saying that Acer’s approach will be nothing like the Apple product. Acer’s president said recently that they’re not gonna copy iPad’s design, plus they don’t have the same ecosystem as Apple with iTunes and the App Store.

    As in past year, Acer will concentrate on bringing to market thin and light competitors, with focus on value and battery life, the main things people look after those days. As of Operating System, Acer wants to make those tablets for Windows 7 and Android platforms.
