One of the most anticipated tablets of this moment is the Acer 1820PT, not doubt about it, as we wrote quite a few articles on it (here’s one for example). A recent leak shed the light on it’s future. I can tell you it won’t be nice, as there’s info that two new models will replace it: the Acer Aspire 1825PT and 1825PTZ, both featuring an Intel ULV CPU, both 11.6 screens and quite large capacity batteries, possibly 9 cell so if the current Timelines with ULV CPUs are good for about 8 hours I can see the Acer Aspire 1825PT and 1825PTZ reaching 12 without any problems.

The specs of the two convertible notebook tablets are as follow:

    • Acer Aspire 1825PTZ - Intel SU 4100 processor, 3GB of memory, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium
    • Acer Aspire 1825PT - Intel SU 7300 processor, 4GB of memory, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium

It seems that those two tablets are ready to come to market at the end of March for around 600 $. That would put them in around the same price range as other netbook tablets we’ve tested here, like the ASUS EEE PC T101MT, a much slower device.
