JooJoo 2 tablet to come in 2011, become ordinary

Remember the JooJoo tablet and the scandal around it and Michael Arrington? It seems Fushion Garage is well and fine, whilst the lawsuit is developing and is already preparing JooJoo 2 tablet for early 2011. There aren't many specs to talk about, but we do know about the general direction JooJoo 2 is heading and that is a Google Android OS. So the proprietary Flash interface was thrown away for a more flexible OS. That's probably the cause of low sales numbers for the first JooJoo, which pre-ord...

JooJoo modded to run Windows 7

The JooJoo tablet is clearly not one of the best but one of the most controversial IT products of this year, as it begun as a fruit of collaboration between CrunchGear's Michael Arrington and Fusion Garage, but managed to become the item that separated them, with the latter taking credit and the former filing a law suit with an outcome that isn't clear yet.Anyway, some of the few people who bought the JooJoo 12.1 inch tablet didn't particularly like the Flash interface and managed to softwar...

JooJoo Flash interface video preview

JooJoo is for me the anti-iPad and I'm going to tell you why. First, it managed to gather a lot of negative press articles, contrary to the iPad, which managed to turn heads all over the web on tech sites, blogs and celebrities sites. Second the JooJoo user interface is made in Flash, whilst the iPad doesn't support flash at all.The iPad is small and lightweight while JooJoo features a bigger screen and not so light body. The price is the only thing that brings the two of them together: 500$...

JooJoo tablet preorders show a different image

Remember we've told you yesterday about the JooJoo tablet nearing it's production phase. Well, things are not running smoothly as anticipated by Fushion Garage, the one making it. Press court materials (from the Michael Arrington lawsuit) revealed only 90 units pre-ordered, with 15 of them being cancellations. That's not going to help them get enough money to pay the lawyer, not to say about increasing production. It's going to be tough to fight on two fronts: on one side a pretty solid lawsu...

Joo Joo tablet closer to launch

Remember the Joo Joo tablet, the one with a legacy of the legal battle between Michael Arrington and Fusion Garage? Well, it's well into production phase and just got a walk through by CNET where we see how it works in real life. From what I saw it's a pretty respectable device when it comes to web browsing, but sadly that's pretty much all it can do. I don't know if I need/want a device that does just web browsing and allows me to see some pictures and listen to music.I must admit the huge ...

JooJoo tablet already in production: Flash and AppStore from beginning

If the iPad was the most rumored touch tablet in 2009 and the beginning of this year then JooJoo tablet was certainly the most controversial tablet as it still got a lawsuit from Crunchgear who wants to take their rights back since the involvement in the development of JooJoo was negated by Fusion Garage a few months ago. We're not going to revive this story again in this post but merely update you on what's going on with JooJoo, the slate type tablet that resembles the iPad the most.Well, s...

JooJoo (former Crunchpad) hits press with official photos

Even if Fusion Garage is being sued by Arrington for the Crunchpad deal break, they went further with the JooJoo, which now has official press photos. Those pictures confirm the slim and sleek look of the device plus an unexpected 1080p HD playback, which might suggest an Intel Atom Z530 CPU and GMA500 graphics chip, but no official specs are being yet published by Fusion Garage.[caption id="attachment_629" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="JooJoo sure looks nice for a tablet slate"][...
