Apparently we were right when we wrote about HP’s launch event planned for February 9th, when the giant is expected to launch it’s line of WebOS products, under the motto “Something big, Something small, Something beyond“. Engadget got word from an unknown source that we’re not going to see just tablets, but also laptops and headsets, all part of HP’s strategy for a connected experience. This is apparently one day full of CES 2011 rumors about what companies are going to release in two weeks time. HP is a big name in the industry, so it’s expected for them to make a big appearance at next year’s CES, and some of the new devices are said to be PalmPad slate tablets from a new series. It’s very interesting to see how big brands are naming their products. Some try to be unique, others try to resemble a successful product from the competition and other are plain boring. We’ve talked about HP’s plans to launch a Webos tablet probably more than HP has talked about it. We still don’t know too much about it, but we do know HP is not going to reinvent the wheel, as in an email to the Palm Developer Company it was mentioned the upcoming tablet will be “similar to the iPad”.
