When Blackberry presented officially their tablet, the strangely named Playbook there were quite a few unknown variables we would have loved to know, like battery life, internal storage size, availability and pricing. We know now that the Blackberry Playbook won’t see the light of day until 2011, partially due to early hardware development stage and mainly (we believe) because of the special OS, which is not mature enough for a final release yet. After the Microsoft and HP announcement of their Slate device during CES little info leaked on the web about what we’ll actually get to buy later this year and an official interview released by HP brings new info but ignoring sensible areas like hardware used and price but at least we know the device was in works from 5 years ago and was ready two years ago but the problem that prevented them from actually deliver it was the lack of software support and customer interest. As we said in many other posts Touch Tablets are not a new thing. We deal here with an old concept that this year seems to be re-born thanks to the rumors about Apple’s upcoming tablet.
