The source for 2012 iPad, Android and tablet PC news, reviews and accessories guides
After debuting at CES 2012, tablets have started to get in line for the consumer launch, the one that really matters, as only then you're able to buy the model you like.Today I've found out about the pricing and availability of the Acer Iconia TAB A510, one of the company's quad-core models (the other being the Iconia A700). As a reminder, the A510 is basically an A700 minus the Full HD screen (1280 x 800 px instead of 1920 x 1080 px). Doesn't sound like much but I'm sure it's a huge differe...
Man, Transformer Prime news are coming so fast this year. After reported problems and the official Asus response I now have a little bit of good news: the 32 GB version of the Prime is available for purchase at Office Depot.Currently it's in stock, but it's hard to say for how long. Despite it's obvious problems this tablet is selling like hot cakes. The limited supply also makes it next to impossible to get it at this point.Hope ASUS comes back with an official statement about availab...
Kobo Vox, one of the few Amazon Kindle Fire competitors (on paper) just made it to stores in US and Canada, beating Amazon's product to market, as the other 7 inch media tablet will only arrive on November 17th.I know that Kobo doesn't have the strength to compete with Amazon, even if technically speaking, the Vox is at least as powerful as the Fire and also sells for $199. While the Vox is a 7 inch Android tablet Kobo likes to say it is world's first social eReader, which in layman's terms ...
Two of the tablets we were expecting at the end of this year are the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy TAB 7.7 - a 5.3 inch and 7.7 inch respectively tablets. Both have just appeared online in US with Expansys.I'm sure they're not here officially yet (Gray market perhaps), as the price for Galaxy Note seems out of this world: $944, a price for which you can expect to buy three tablets, not just one. At the same time we still have hope for Galaxy TAB 7.7, which is listed as pre-order, ...
Since it launched the iPad 2, Apple has struggled with delivery delays, especially via their online site, which listed 3-4 weeks waiting times. In-store availability had similar problems, but at least you could be the lucky one stepping in the store while a new batch was arriving. Didn't happen to me, no matter how hard I've tried, but that's now a thing of the past, as Apple has drastically decreased the availability delay to 1-to-3 business days in US and Canada. This means ordering on Monday ...
Archos's strategy for mp3 players, PMP devices and tablets can be summed up pretty easy to one word: multimedia. That's what kept them going in past years, but the tablet market needs a different approach if you ask me, since every tablet on market today is able to playback audio and video codecs of all kinds (not 100%, but the most popular standards are supported).Archos knows that, so the recently announced [previous coverage] 80 and 110 G9 series models are bringing to the tablet someth...
One of the most underrated tablets, because of the lack of apps, the Blackberry Playbook, picked yet another wireless carrier to help reach more consumers. Sprint just announced availability of the WiFi only Blackberry Playbook tablet for the same $499 price you'll going to see in other stores.Since it hasn't got a 4G data chip inside Sprint can't offer a monthly plan for us to subscribe to, so no subsidy here: you have to pay full price for the WiFi Playbook. If you have your doubts, as man...
Given the fact the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer is one of the best competitors the iPad 2 it deserves more attention from my part so I've put together a short post with latest news about this interesting Honeycomb tablet with docking keyboard that transforms it into a 'normal' laptop. Those are the latest bits of info about ASUS' most anticipated tablet of 2011. As more become available I'll make sure to let you know in future posts on AllTouchTablet. Availability in US You might have blinked a...
I remember writing about the Acer Iconia Tab A500 when it was first introduced by Acer early this year, and now I have more info, including pricing and complete specs of what seems to be a worth considering 10 inch Honeycomb tablet, with nothing to be ashamed about compared to models like the Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1, Motorola Xoom and ASUS EEE Pad series. Today Acer announced the Iconia Tab A500 is coming in US on April 28 with a very appealing starting price of just $450 (WiFi only, with no inf...
I hope you all like the HP TouchPad as much as I do. You can't go wrong with wireless charging and sync between WebOS devices connected to the same account. At least that's what I believe. Now, I know we're a long way from the moment HP will actually deliver the TouchPad. I just hope they keep their promises to get it done by summer or else it's 2010 all over again: announcements but no delivery.Apparently some people already know something about pricing, which is rumored to start at 700$ (a...
