We have plenty of slate tablets these days, but as you can see from our favourite netvertible list there are not too many convertible tablet PCs out there to satisfy the taste of those that want productivity and touch in the same package, or don't want one like the Lenovo X220T that costs an arm and a leg.If you're in this category then you might want to take a look at the Gigabyte T1006, an update to last year's T1005 and a completely different product from this week's Gigabyte T1132N. ...
Just a few days after being leaked in a promotional video Dell puts live the official product page for Latitude ST tablet. This means that quite a few other details have been confirmed, although not all specs were made public. What we know up until now is that Dell Latitude ST is a slate tablet meant for the business market, as it comes with such features as TPM (Trusted Platform Module), BitLocker Encryption, Kensington Lock, and N-trig digitizer & stylus, Corning Gorilla Glass and a ru...
We've been talking a bit about Dell's upcoming Latitude ST tablet that first showed up in a leaked roadmap and then got detailed a bit in a presentation back in July. From the suggested specs we had some doubts about a 10 inch Full HD screen, but everything else seemed plausible.Today a teaser/presentation video from Dell made it onto the web and details a pretty average business tablet for the enterprise sector. Why do we say average? Mainly because we've hear the words "Intel Atom". That'...
ViewPad 10 Pro tablet is a model we've heard about a while ago, but just today Viewsonic made the official announcement of the dual boot Windows 7 - Android 2.3 Gingerbread tablet. Apparently Viewsonic is the only manufacturer committed to deliver a working dual boot tablet, probably this being part of their strategy to offer something different in market. And the Viewsonic Viewpad 10 Pro couldn't be more different than what we're used to: 1.5 GHz single core Atom Z670 processor, 2 GB RAM, 1...
A dual boot tablet is already something to be proud of as a manufacturer, but a triple boot one it's a record, and Evolve III knows that with their Maestro C and S 10 inch tablets that were showcased at Computex last week. We've been talking about them here at AllTouchTablet in past, but this was the first chance to take a look at working samples. Why two tablets? Because Evolve III wants to offer users the option of a kickstand with the Maestro C, making it suited for desktop use together wi...
We've talked on one occasion about the Fujitsu Stylistic Q550, a 10 inch Atom tablet powered by Windows 7 that was set to debut in May. Even if the name suggest something that has to do with a nice design that's not the case here, as the Stylistic Q550 is a business oriented tablet, which also means unfortunately a 'business price', which in this situation means starting at $729 and going well up to $849 (see Fujitsu's product page). You might ask: why getting the Stylistic Q550 from Fujitsu ...
I still remember the Atom netbooks from 2-3 years ago breaking battery life records that were unthinkable for laptops before. It's not unusual today to buy a netbook that lasts you at least 8 hours of real 'work', but there's one problem: an Atom CPU is so slow that you won't be able to work so efficiently like you would on a normal laptop. Intel is aware of this problem and tries to make things right (or better, if you will) by introducing the Atom Z670 CPU from the new Oak Trail platform whi...
If you've followed AllTouchTablet long enough you might remember the Nav 9 Slate PC powered by Windows 7 that was announced around 12 months ago by Netbook Navigator. I vaguely remember it, but it was one of the few promising products powered by Windows with a small 9 inch footprint, a speedy SSD drive and 2GB RAM with optional 3G capabilities. It was just like a small netbook, but without the keyboard, exactly what some users would want from a tablet. All of this except price, which is extremel...
Remember the ASUS T101MT netvertible from last year? I've tested it here and here and found it one of the best convertible netbooks at that date, despite its early touchscreen accuracy of the pre-production sample I've received. It's still unmatched as price and features are concerned, but the single core 1.66 GHz Atom N450 CPU is starting to feel really antiquated (not that Atoms are modern anyway). That's why ASUS decided it's time for an upgrade of its T101MT small 10 inch convertible tablet ...
Even if Viewsonic is not one of the biggest names in the IT industry, it has aspirations for the tablet market, as the company announced last year the ViewPad 10 dual boo tablet, and then at the beginning of 2011 it introduced the ViewPad 10 Pro, a similar spec 10 inch tablet but with a more advanced Android 2.2 that runs virtualized under Windows 7. It seems that they're one and the same tablet (confusing, right?), as Viewsonic just brought it to market starting at 599$ (alternate link). As ...
